A hopeless man sits by himself in his bedsit. One pearl dusty grease covered 40 watt light bulb glows from a standard lamp in one corner of the room casting shadows of soft silhouettes on damp wall. Just animated enough to fool a drunken man on a downward spiral that there is an uninvited presence in the room.
His irrational behavior and intermittent cry’s bounce off the walls-heard by no one. Empty bottles line the work tops, shelf’s and the bin overflows. Broken glass covers the floor. He falls to his knees in a helpless state then crawls on all fours splintering his hands and knees as he make his way to the table.
He holds his hands in front of his face but it’s too bleak to see his glass splintered hand. The light too dim to reflect in the glass splinters. His face in his hands, his tears flow through the cracks between his fingers and the room begins to spin.
In a semi conscious state his intentions are only contemplated. He pulls himself onto his chair and finds his glass is mysteriously full. There is no hesitation as he picks up the glass and says “What of the blind? I cannot see. Time to forget. Time....Not to believe.....................”
